Matt is a Manager in our Accounting and Finance recruitment team, specialising in interim staffing solutions.
He began his career in Dublin as a Trust Associate before moving into a Project Accountant role with a social housing organisation in his hometown of Waterford, Ireland. With a strong academic foundation, including a master’s degree in business with economics and finance, he developed a practical understanding of finance operations and the pressures faced by accounting teams.
After spending time in New York, a conversation with a close friend who ran his own recruitment firm inspired Matt to take a leap of faith into the industry. He relocated to Vancouver and joined a large global recruitment company, where he spent four and a half years specialising in contracting finance and accounting roles before transferring to their Melbourne office in 2022.
As a Manager in Quinn Allan’s Accounting and Finance team with more than seven years’ recruitment experience and firsthand accounting expertise, Matt brings a deep commercial understanding to every search. With a focus on contracting roles, he is known for identifying client needs quickly, engaging multiple areas of a business to understand the full picture, and presenting practical, high-quality solutions with speed and care.

In his free time, Matt is an avid golfer, an enthusiastic runner, and serves as Head of Treasury at his local soccer club, where he is also an active player.
