Beginning his career in commercial roles , Matthew quickly realised he thrives in fast-paced, people-focused environments where he can solve problems in real time. That insight naturally led him into recruitment: a space where he could combine his commercial acumen with his instinct for building strong relationships and delivering results.
Before joining Quinn Allan, Matthew spent over four years with a large global recruitment firm, specialising in interim and project finance roles across a wide range of industries. During this time, he built a strong reputation in the Brisbane market for being commercial, pragmatic and genuinely focused on delivering quick, practical solutions for clients.
Matthew has supported organisations through significant periods of change, including ERP implementations, restructures, finance transformations and BAU pressure. He now focuses on senior finance and project contractors: Financial Controllers, Finance Managers, Senior Accountants, Analysts and specialists with strong systems or project experience. Known for his ability to quickly understand what a business really needs, Matthew is skilled at matching organisations with contractors who can step in seamlessly and provide support where required.
Calm under pressure and naturally approachable, Matthew brings a steady, positive energy to situations that might otherwise feel stressful. His clients and candidates value his transparency, reliability and genuine interest in the people he works with.
Outside of work, Matthew enjoys playing golf, spending time at the beach, watching sport and spending quality time with his young family.
