Frequently asked questions

  • What types of roles do you recruit for?

We support executive leadership, permanent, fixed term and interim opportunities across our specialist practice areas, including accounting and finance, technology, project services, human resources, legal and procurement. Roles range from specialist and operational positions through to senior leadership appointments.

  • Do I need to be actively looking for a job to speak with you?

No. Many of the people we work with are not actively searching but are open to a conversation about the market or future opportunities. We’re always happy to have an initial discussion and provide insight, even if the timing isn’t right for a move.

  • How do I apply for roles?

You can apply directly for advertised roles through our Jobs page. If you don’t see a role that aligns with your experience, you can register your interest to stay connected and have a conversation with our team.

  • What happens if I register my interest?

Registering your interest allows us to learn more about your background and career goals. From there, we may reach out when relevant opportunities arise or share updates, insights and event invitations aligned to your area of expertise.

  • Do you work with interim and contract professionals?

Yes. We work closely with experienced interim and contract professionals across all our practice areas. Interim roles can offer flexibility, project exposure and the opportunity to make an immediate impact.

Professionals engaged through Quinn Allan are supported by our dedicated contractor care team and have access to our Contractor Benefits Program.

  • Do you support executive and leadership appointments?

Yes. We have a team dedicated to executive recruitment, and place senior leaders in organisations across accounting and finance, procurement, legal, human resources, project services, and technology. Whether the position is permanent or fixed term, our focus is always on delivering a well-governed process and a successful appointment that aligns with the culture of the business.

  • How do you support people during the recruitment process?

We aim to provide clear communication, honest insight and a well-managed process at every stage. This includes sharing market context, preparing you for conversations and keeping you informed as opportunities progress.

  • Are all opportunities advertised on your website?

Not always. Some roles are confidential or filled through direct engagement and research-led search. That’s why staying connected through registration or conversation can be valuable, even if you’re not actively applying.

  • Where are you based?

Our teams are based in Melbourne and Brisbane, and we work with professionals and organisations across both locations.

  • Can I attend events or join your networks if I’m not job searching?

Absolutely. Our events and professional networks are designed to encourage connection, shared insight and learning. Many people engage with us through events well before considering a career move.

  • How do I get started?

You can explore current roles, register your interest or simply reach out for a conversation. We’ll help guide the discussion based on what you’re looking for.

Are you ready for real change?

Whether you are interested in one of our advertised roles or are wanting to have a chat about your next career move, we'd love to hear from you.
