Quinn Allan are proud to be partnering with a leading ASX listed business operating within the mining sector to recruit an experienced Management Accountant.
Working closely with the broader finance team and key operational stakeholders, you will play an important role in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and providing meaningful insights to assist business performance.
This is a hands-on management accounting position suited to someone who enjoys working across month-end reporting, financial analysis and continuous improvement in a commercially focused environment.

This is a hands-on management accounting position suited to someone who enjoys working across month-end reporting, financial analysis and continuous improvement in a commercially focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage month-end close activities, including journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly management reports, financial statements and variance analysis.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
- Analyse financial and operational results, identifying trends, variances and opportunities for improvement.
- Work closely with operational stakeholders to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
- Monitor business performance against budgets and forecasts.
- Maintain the integrity and accuracy of financial data and reporting.
- Support cash flow reporting and other financial analysis as required.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, systems and internal controls.
- Assist with year-end processes, audit requirements and other ad hoc finance projects.
You will be a capable and commercially minded accountant who enjoys working with numbers, understanding business performance and partnering with stakeholders across the organisation.
To be successful, you will ideally have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- CA or CPA qualification, or currently working towards completion.
- Experience in a management accounting or financial accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of month-end processes, management reporting and reconciliations.
- Exposure to budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Strong Excel skills and experience working with financial systems.
- A proactive approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
