About the Company
Our client is a fast-growing, multi-site services organisation undergoing a significant period of expansion and transformation. With a national footprint and ambitious growth plans, the business is investing heavily in its people, systems and operational capabilities to support the next phase of its journey.
As the organisation continues to scale, there is a strong focus on improving commercial performance, leveraging data more effectively and embedding robust decision-making frameworks across the business. This newly created role represents a unique opportunity to influence strategic outcomes and help shape the future direction of a high-growth organisation.

About the Role
Reporting directly to the CFO, the Commercial Lead will sit at the intersection of commercial finance, analytics and operational improvement.
This is not a traditional reporting role. The focus is on identifying opportunities, solving business problems, and supporting leaders in making better commercial decisions.
Working closely with Finance, Operations, Marketing and other key stakeholders, you will use data and commercial analysis to assess performance, identify opportunities and build scalable frameworks that support long-term growth.
A key part of the role will be establishing repeatable processes and decision-making frameworks that move the organisation beyond ad hoc analysis and towards a more data-driven approach to performance improvement.

You will be responsible for:
  • Identify opportunities to improve revenue, profitability and operational performance
  • Build commercial models and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making
  • Develop dashboards, reporting frameworks and performance tracking tools
  • Analyse operational and financial data to identify trends, risks and opportunities
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to drive business improvement initiatives
  • Support pricing, productivity, occupancy and performance optimisation projects
  • Translate complex information into clear commercial insights and recommendations
  • Develop scalable processes and frameworks that support long-term growth and improved decision-making
About You
You are naturally curious and enjoy understanding what drives business performance.
You combine strong commercial acumen with analytical capability and are motivated by using data to solve problems rather than simply producing reports. You know how to ask the right questions, challenge assumptions and turn information into practical recommendations that drive results.
You are likely to bring experience from commercial finance, FP&A, business analytics, revenue optimisation, commercial strategy or operational improvement environments.
A solid understanding of systems and data is essential, but this is not a pure technical specialist role. Whilst exposure to SQL, Python, Power BI, NetSuite or similar tools would be advantageous, the focus is on using data effectively rather than building complex technical solutions. You will be comfortable extracting information from multiple systems, developing meaningful models and creating frameworks that support better business decisions.
