About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Corporate Finance & Treasury Manager is a highly visible leadership role responsible for managing Scope's liquidity, funding strategy and investment portfolio while providing strategic financial insight to support business performance, financial sustainability and long-term growth.
More than a traditional treasury role, this position acts as Scope's internal corporate finance adviser, supporting key investment decisions, business cases, capital allocation and strategic initiatives.
You will work closely with the Executive Leadership Team, Finance & Investment Committee and Board to provide decision-ready advice on liquidity, investments, growth opportunities and financial sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
Treasury, Liquidity & Funding
- Lead Scope's liquidity and funding strategy, ensuring sufficient funding capacity to support operational and strategic priorities.
- Develop and enhance rolling cash flow forecasts, providing clear visibility of future funding requirements, risks and opportunities.
- Proactively identify and manage liquidity risks and funding gaps. Optimise the deployment of short-term cash and working capital.
- Oversee treasury operations, banking relationships and funding arrangements.
- Oversee Scope's investment portfolio and reserve funds of more than $400 million.
- Partner with external investment managers to optimise portfolio performance and risk management.
- Assess investment performance, asset allocation and strategic alignment with organisational objectives.
- Challenge and evaluate investment recommendations and provide advice to governance forums.
- Support periodic review of investment strategy, investment governance and manager effectiveness.
- Act as Scope's internal corporate finance adviser.
- Support the assessment of investment opportunities, led by the New Business team, lead commercial initiatives and strategic projects.
- Lead financial evaluation of business cases and capital allocation decisions.
- Partner with business leaders to evaluate financial risks, returns and strategic trade-offs.
- Support growth, diversification and innovation initiatives through high-quality commercial analysis.
- Support acquisition, partnership and divestment opportunities.
- Participate in due diligence, valuation, financial modelling and transaction analysis.
- Assess balance sheet impacts, funding requirements and financial sustainability implications.
- Provide commercial and financial advice on strategic growth opportunities.
- Support Scope's financial sustainability agenda through robust modelling and scenario analysis.
- Evaluate the impact of regulatory, funding and market changes on future financial performance.
- Partner with FP&A, Business Partnering and Executive stakeholders to support long-term planning.
- Provide insight into emerging risks, opportunities and strategic options.
- Prepare high-quality reporting and recommendations for ELT, Finance & Investment Committee and Board.
- Translate complex financial issues into clear commercial insights and decision options.
- Present recommendations on liquidity, investments and strategic financial matters.
- Build strong relationships across the organisation and with external stakeholders including investment managers, banks and advisers.
You may currently be working in:

- Infrastructure, Healthcare, Aged Care or Not-for-Profit sectors
- CA, CPA or equivalent qualifications.
- Experience in treasury, corporate finance, strategic FP&A or investment-related roles.
- Strong capability in financial modelling, business case development and strategic analysis.
- Experience supporting complex commercial, investment or capital allocation decisions.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence Executive and Board stakeholders.
- A commercially curious mindset, balanced with strong governance and risk awareness.
- A genuine interest in contributing to a purpose-led organisation.
