It combines financial control, governance and reporting with the provision of strong commercial financial leadership. About the Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the timely and accurate maintenance of accounting ledgers for development entities.
- Managing multi-entity and complex project structures.
- Reviewing quarterly management accounts, tax statements, unit pricing, and related outputs.
- Preparing and lodging BAS, managing year-end audit processes, and ensuring compliance with statutory financial reporting requirements.
- Maintaining the debt covenant register.
- Reviewing and interpreting Project Agreements.
- Coordinating monthly project reviews with the Development and Investment teams, analysing variances and resolving issues ahead of forecasting cycles.
- Preparing financial reports for monthly Project Control Group meetings.
- Ensuring project budgets are managed in line with milestone commitments and that cost-to-date is accurately tracked within the cost management system.
- Ensuring project financial models are accurately updated on a monthly basis.
- Managing debt and equity drawdown processes, ensuring compliance with Project Agreements and adherence to required timeframes.
- Reviewing the monthly payment process in conjunction with the finance team.
- Supporting the corporate finance team and undertaking ad hoc projects as required.
- Providing additional support across the finance function as needed.
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Be CA / CPA / CIMA qualified with a minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role.
- Ideally have trained within a Business Advisory or Outsourced CFO division of a reputable firm.
- Demonstrate experience within property development, construction or a similar project-based sector.
- Possess proven experience in reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
- Have exposure to audit, tax and statutory reporting requirements.
- Exhibit strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities.
- Be proactive, solution-oriented and commercially minded.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic, with a track record of resilience and adaptability.
