About the role
We're seeking a strategic and hands-on Head of Data and Analytics to lead our clients data function and turn information into a genuine competitive advantage. Reporting to CDO, you'll set the data and analytics strategy, build and grow a high-performing team, and partner with the business to embed data-driven decision-making across the organisation.
This is a leadership role for someone who can operate at the executive table, shaping vision and securing investment, while staying close enough to the work to guide architecture, delivery, and capability uplift.

We're seeking a strategic and hands-on Head of Data and Analytics to lead our clients data function and turn information into a genuine competitive advantage. Reporting to CDO, you'll set the data and analytics strategy, build and grow a high-performing team, and partner with the business to embed data-driven decision-making across the organisation.

What you'll do
- Own and execute the enterprise data and analytics strategy, aligned to business objectives and the broader technology roadmap.
- Lead, mentor, and scale a multidisciplinary team spanning data engineering, analytics, BI, and (where relevant) data science.
- Establish and mature data governance, quality, security, and management frameworks, including stewardship and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee the data platform and architecture, pipelines, warehousing/lakehouse, modelling, and reporting/visualisation capability.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to identify high-value use cases and translate them into actionable insights and measurable outcomes.
- Champion a self-service analytics and data literacy agenda across the business.
- Manage budgets, vendors, and tooling decisions, ensuring value for investment.
- Drive the responsible adoption of advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI where it delivers genuine value.
- Proven leadership of a data and analytics function, with a track record of delivering strategy and measurable business value.
- Strong technical grounding across modern data platforms, architecture, and the analytics/BI stack (e.g. [cloud platforms, warehousing, visualisation tools]).
- Deep understanding of data governance, quality, privacy, and regulatory obligations.
- Experience building, leading, and growing technical teams and capability.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the credibility to influence at executive level.
- Commercial acumen and the judgement to prioritise effort against business impact.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience; exposure to Health and aged care is well regarded.
