Our client is a growing and highly regarded investment management business with a strong track record in real estate investments across Australia. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their Brisbane-based team.
This is an opportunity to work within a sophisticated investment environment, supporting a portfolio of real estate investment vehicles and partnering closely with senior stakeholders across the business. The role offers broad exposure to fund accounting, investment reporting, financial control and business operations within a dynamic and entrepreneurial organisation.
Key Responsibilities
This is an opportunity to work within a sophisticated investment environment, supporting a portfolio of real estate investment vehicles and partnering closely with senior stakeholders across the business. The role offers broad exposure to fund accounting, investment reporting, financial control and business operations within a dynamic and entrepreneurial organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts
- Financial reporting across multiple investment entities and trusts
- Oversight of fund accounting activities and investment structures
- Preparation of statutory accounts and audit coordination
- Cash flow management and forecasting
- Balance sheet reconciliations and financial control activities
- Assisting with investor reporting requirements
- Supporting tax compliance obligations including BAS, GST and income tax requirements
- Liaising with external service providers including auditors, tax advisers and fund administrators
- Contributing to the ongoing improvement of finance processes, controls and reporting frameworks
- Providing commercial and financial insights to support business decision-making
- CA or CPA qualification
- Minimum 5 years' accounting experience
- Prior experience within real estate investment management, property funds management, property syndication, REITs or a similar investment environment
- Strong understanding of trust structures, investment vehicles and fund accounting principles
- Experience preparing financial reports across multiple entities
- Strong technical accounting skills and attention to detail
- Advanced Excel capability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive mindset with the ability to operate effectively in a growing business environment
