Quinn Allan is partnering with a large and complex financial services business based in Brisbane's CBD to appoint an experienced Senior Financial Accountant for an immediate contract engagement. This is a 6-month contract with genuine scope for permanency for the right person, offering 2 days of work-from-home flexibility.
The Opportunity
This is an immediate requirement for a business that moves quickly and operates with real scale and complexity across its operations. The organisation manages a broad portfolio of entities and affiliates, and you will be stepping into a fast-moving environment where there is genuine volume and variety to the work. The business needs someone who can contribute from day one without a lengthy ramp-up period.
What You Will Be Doing
This is a hands-on, operationally focused role. The business is not looking for a reviewer or someone accustomed to delegating the detail. Given the pace and complexity of the environment, you will need to be technically strong, self-sufficient, and comfortable getting into the work yourself from day one.

What You Will Be Doing
- Owning month-end close and financial reporting across multiple entities
- Preparation and management of statutory accounts
- Group consolidations across affiliate companies
- Engaging with stakeholders across the broader business on finance matters
- Mentoring and supporting junior team members

To be considered you will need:
- Solid technical accounting skills with consolidation experience

- Experience in a similarly busy and operationally focused accounting environment
